Theme: Resilience and Sustainability of Poultry Value Chains in Challenging Environments in Africa

Conference Overview

The 3rd Pan-African Poultry Conference (PPC3), organized by the World’s Poultry Science Association (WPSA) and the African Poultry Network of the WPSA (WPSA-APN), will take place on September 22-23, 2025, at the Future Africa, University of Pretoria, Pretoria, South Africa. The conference aims to foster collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange to advance the poultry industry across Africa. This year’s theme focuses on resilience and sustainability in poultry value chains, particularly in challenging environments.

Submission Guidelines

Researchers, industry experts, policymakers, and other stakeholders are invited to submit abstracts for consideration. Abstracts should align with the conference theme and sub-themes and should highlight innovative research, case studies, best practices, and theoretical contributions.  
Deadline for Abstract Submission: 30 APRIL 2025.  
Peer review and evaluation: 1 MAY – 1 JUNE 2025. 
Notification of acceptance and mode of presentation: 21 JULY 2025. 
Full paper submission deadline: 15 AUGUST  2025

Abstract Requirements:

Abstract must be written in English and sent as an MS Word file
Abstract must be typed in Times New Roman, font size 12 using single line spacing
Abstract title must be indicated, capitalised and bold
All papers must include names, affiliations, and contact details. Do not add titles or qualifications. The name of the presenting author must be underlined.
Abstract text should be a maximum of 300 words, providing a problem statement, objective, methodology, results, and conclusions.
Abstract must be a single paragraph, no subheadings, sections and references.
List up to five keywords relevant to the abstract.

Upon completion of registration you will proceed to the abstract submission page where you will be able to formally submit your abstract

    Abstracts can also be submitted electronically as a Microsoft (MS) Word document via wpsaapn@gmail.com. All submissions will undergo a peer-review process by the scientific committee. Accepted abstracts will be presented orally or as a poster at the conference, and all selected papers shall be published in the conference proceedings.
